ITALY: Equi Terme, Gragnola, Filleto

Equi Terme

Equi Terme was a small town down the mountain from where we were staying. We toured the caves and took a dip in the sulphur pool. Also went to a number of fantastic restaurants in this town.

ITALY: Codiponte & Cassola

The town I stayed in, Viano, is in the Lunigiana area of Northern Tuscany, which consists of small towns scattered throughout the mountains. We used Viano as a homebase and visited the towns, which are all unique.

ITALY: Viano

I spent most of my time at my friend Ina and Howard's villa in a town called Viano when I visited Italy in 2007. Viano is in the Lunigiana area of Northern Tuscany, which consists of small towns scattered throughout the mountains. We used Viano as a homebase and visited the quaint towns and larger cities in the surrounding area. Viano was built around the 9th century and there are less than 50 people currently living there. As rustic and secluded as it gets. The villa is available for rental if you plan on spending some time in the area and are looking for a place. Click here for more info.
