Overwork Hospital, Cedar Grove, 1990
After reading about the destruction of Overbrook Hospital and abandoned buildings on my mind from curating Ellen Martin's "a ban don ed" series exhibit (which you should come check out at Gallery U...it's very cool), I thought it was time to revisit my photos of the hospital. In 1990 I spent a lot of time exploring the grounds and buildings of Overbrook Hospital. It was all very cool with bed frames, patient records scattered around, medical equipment, peeling paint and strewn pews in the chapel. All very cool. The majority of the photos I took were of my friend and used Overbrook as a background. I wish I had spent just as much time photographing the hospital itself. In any case, here are a few of the photos.
