Paterson had their Art Walk this weekend. The historical silk mills have been turned into artist space and the creative energy was thick around town that day. Spent a good amount of time in the Art Factory, visited the Paterson Museum and the historical falls.
It was wonderful seeing the mural by artist Stefan Knapp. Those in NJ will know this as the mural that graced the side of Alexander's Department store on Route 17 for years. Alexander's is long gone but the mural was rescued and select panels of the 280 were on exhibit at the Art Factory as part of today's Paterson Art Walk. It was a real thrill seeing this piece of art that I admired as a kid.
